We head towards the historic Castelo de Palmela, an impressive medieval fortress offering breathtaking panoramic views over the Serra da Arrábida, the Sado River, and the Setúbal Peninsula. We will explore the interior of the castle and the old church, learning about the history of the Knights of Santiago.
Next, we visit the renowned José Maria da Fonseca Winery (JMF), one of the oldest wineries in Portugal. We will take a guided tour of the winery, where we will discover the production of iconic wines such as Moscatel de Setúbal. We will taste some of their best labels, paired with local regional products.
Our next stop is Quinta de Alcube, a small family-owned winery nestled in the heart of the Arrábida Mountains. Here, we will learn about the artisanal winemaking process and taste exclusive wines, all in a welcoming environment surrounded by the lush landscape of the mountains.
After the wine experience, we head to the Arrábida Natural Park, famous for its mountains and crystal-clear beaches. We will stop at a viewpoint to admire the stunning view over the blue sea and the region's secret coves.
Finally, we arrive in Setúbal for a scenic tour of the city, exploring its charming historic center. We will stroll along Avenida Luísa Todi, with its cafés and markets, and finish at the Setúbal Port, where, if weather permits, we may even spot dolphins in the Sado River Estuary.
